Covenant University has become one of the leading universities in Nigeria and outside Nigeria, based on rankings from various organizations, scholarly citations from reputable journals and JAMB statistics.
Since its launch in 2002, CU has been training and nurturing youths to become EAGLES soaring high and excelling in all they do. Today’s topic is about Eagles that are excelling in the entertainment industry. Let us find out about some of these Eagles as I can bet that some of you my readers did not know that these celebrities listed below have Covenant University as their alma mater
BIMBO ADEMOYE

Abimbola Ademoye is an Award Winning Nigerian Actress, brand influencer, and model. The thespian is an Alumni of Covenant University where she studied Business Administration, In an interview with The Punch newspaper, she said she was raised by a single father who supported her chosen profession. Some of the projects she has featured include; The Family, Personal Assistant. The Backup Wife, Diary of a Crazy Nigerian Woman, Rofia Tailor Loran, This Is It, Looking for Baami, My Wife & I, Reach, Over the fence, Sugar Rush, Dear Affy, Nneka the Pretty Serpent, Breaded Life, and many more. Bimbo Ademoye’s role in Looking for Baami earned her a nomination for Best Actress in a Comedy (Movie/TV Series) at the 2020 Africa Magic Viewer’s choice awards (AMVCA).
2. MIMI ONALAJA

Mimi is a Nigerian actress, TV host, writer, presenter, actress, blogger, model, media, and television personality. All these titles for one person, ‘Eagles’ are sure making waves in their separate industries. She finished her secondary school education at Queen’s College, after her secondary school education, she obtained her bachelor's degree in International Relations, from Covenant University in 2010. Mimi completed a Diploma in Acting for Film from the New York Film Academy in 2013. She has hosted a few shows like Game Show, Play to Win, ELOY awards, The Future Awards Africa, she has also featured in a lot of movies like; The Smart Money Woman, Shades of Love Edit, Introducing the kuju’s, and many more. Mimi is also a lover of fashion/style, travel, food, family. and friendship, she has a column on 'Style Vitae'. Her career was not agreed by her father at the initial stage, however, he later supported it and even sponsored her through film school. Mimi is close friends with Ini Dima-Okojie who is also a graduate of Covenant University.
3. BAAJ ADEBULE

Baaj is an Actor, writer, filmmaker, model, and host. However, he is popularly known for his acting skills, especially his role as ‘Louis” in the popular Nigerian series “The Men’s Club”. He studied Economics at Covenant University where he graduated with a second-class upper in 2009. After graduating, he was engaged in arts and sports. He worked in DSTV/GOTV for almost two years before eventually quitting to focus on entertainment, where he is currently doing so well. He made his first big-screen debut in 2015 in the action movie A Soldier's Story, as well as the critically acclaimed Road to Yesterday. Also in that year, he launched his production company House of Baaj Pictures. His first production was “Seeing Betrayal”, which he wrote and directed went on to win the best short film in Africa 2015 at the Zafaa Global Awards. In 2017 he was nominated for Best of Nollywood Awards in the category, Revelation of the year–male.
4. BUKOLA OLADIPUPO

Bukola Oladipupo is a Nigerian Actress, she bagged a degree in Management Information System at Covenant University in 2014. She is popularly known as Faa from “MTV Shuga” where she made her first appearance as an actress, she is also known as Tiara from “The Men’s Club”
Bukola’s inspiration to go into acting came when she was still an undergraduate at Covenant University during a church service when the pastor told them to turn their talent into skills. So, after school, she further pursued a master’s degree in Acting She successfully auditioned for MTV Shuga in 2015 where she was given what became the continuing role of "Faa". She puts her success down to the media mogul Mo Abudu who taught her to have self-belief.
5. AYOOLA AYOLOLA

Ayoola is a Nigerian musician, singer, and actor. He won the 5th Project Fame West Africa in September, he was born and raised in Kano, Nigeria. Ayoola won the 5th edition of the Project Fame West Africa, where he was gifted a car, 2.5 million naira cash price, and a year recording deal. He previously participated in another singing contest Nigerian Idol where he got evicted in the first round after making the final 12. Ayoola released a couple of songs like; You Must Love, Safe with Me, and Love you. He suspended his music career for acting in 2015, and he has featured in a couple of movies/series, the one I am sure we all love is his role as Mide in the YouTube series Skinny Girl in Transit afterward, and his role as Aminu in The Men’s Club, Some of his other projects include; Isoken, Bling Lagosians, Fifty, Ever After If I am president and many more. This guy here is a talent. Also, did I forget to mention that he is a father to a very admirable son?
