5 NIGERIAN CELEBRITIES I BET YOU DIDN’T KNOW GRADUATED FROM COVENANT UNIVERSITY (PART 2).

Hey guys and guess who is back with another episode on celebrities I bet you didn’t know graduated from Covenant University?

Well, yes today I present to you another interesting one, I am sure some of you will be fascinated by the names or rather personalities you see in this episode…….Stay Tuned


1. ETINOSA IDEMUDIA

Etinosa Idemudia is a Nigerian actress, social media influencer, and filmmaker. She is best known for her online comedy skits which she began producing and sharing, first on her Instagram channel. She obtained a BEng in Computer Engineering from Covenant University in 2011. After her graduation from the University, Etinosa began working as a Planning Engineer with Delattre Bezons Nigeria. She also worked as a planning Engineer for oil and gas construction projects until 2016 when she went into acting full-time. Etinosa then went to Royal Arts Academy owned by famous filmmaker Emem Isong where she obtained a Diploma in Performing Arts in 2016, Her first movie role was a minor cameo appearance in ‘A Little White Lie’ produced by Emem-Isong. Within a short period of time, she launched ‘EtinosaTV’ where she does comedy skits. She has also featured in several movies and TV productions including; ‘Made for More’, ‘The Miracle Centre’, ‘Blindspot’, ‘Stacy’ and ‘The Millions’. In December 2020, Etinosa welcomed her first child with her partner. As a result of her good acting skills Etinosa was recognized and nominated for a few awards like; Scream Awards category; Best Online Comic Act which she Won, she was also nominated as Best Actress in the 48 Hours Film Project in 2016, which she also won. She is definitely nailing it in the movie industry.


2. EMMANUEL BEZ-IDAKULA

Bez is a multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, and composer from Nigeria who works in the "alternative soul" genre, which is a mix of soul, rock, jazz, and R&B. He was named number one on Pulse Magazine's list of the "Top 12 Musicians to Watch in 2014."

In 2007, he earned a Bachelor's degree in Information and Communications Technology from Covenant University. During his time at CU, he performed at open mic evenings. In January 2014, Bez married Bolatito Ladoja, the daughter of former Oyo State Governor Rasheed Ladoja, and they have three children: two sons, Joshua and Immanuel, and their lovely daughter Seven. The soul and R&B singer, who has kept a low profile in the music industry, recently revealed that being true to himself is the factor that continues to seal his relevance and longevity in the industry. Bez is a family man and also a lover of Christ.


3. GBUBEMI FREGENE

Chef Fregz, as he popularly referred to, is a Nigerian celebrity chef. He studied industrial relations and human resource management at Covenant University, as well as cookery at the Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Institute in France. He is married to popular actress Lala Akiloju. In 2009, he started his own catering service called DVARD Catering Service. From November 2010 to February 2011, he worked as an intern at the Market Restaurant in Paris after finishing his studies at Le Cordon Bleu. After his internship, Fregene was hired as a waitress at the restaurant. Gbubemi returned to Nigeria and created his brand by appealing to the love for fresh and imaginative food among Nigerian youths. He promoted his brand by throwing regular summer-style cookouts called Chef FregzTM Special to satisfy the need for young chefs to communicate and connect with the upwardly mobile audience he served. Gbubemi has also served as a judge in Nigerian cooking competitions such as Knorr Taste.


4. CHIKE

Chike graduated from Covenant University with a degree in Computer Engineering, However, he ended up a musician, a good one at that. Chike was featured as a contestant on Project Fame West Africa and was eliminated after reaching the Top 10. He didn’t stop there, he went further in going for The Voice Nigeria where he finished as the runner-up of the season, with A'rese from Team Waje coming in the first place. After the Voice Nigeria, he gained publicity and was made an ambassador for Airtel Nigeria along with the other seven finalists of The Voice Nigeria. Chike then started his career in acting when he was cast by Africa Magic to play the role of Mayowa Badmus in a television drama named Battleground in 2017. He released his first single as an independent artist in 2018 titled “Beautiful People” and went ahead to release an album in 2020 titled Boo of the Booless with a special performance on the 2020 Big Brother Lockdown tv show.


5. AKAH NNANI

Akah is a Nigerian actor, YouTuber, TV host, producer, husband, and father, with a B.sc in Mass Communication From Covenant University. Akah is what I call a "Talent". Akah has acted in over 10 Nollywood movies and TV series and has also received a Future Awards nomination for acting. Although he has featured in a few notable movies, Akah Nnani is what one can describe as an agile actor whose skills and impact rival those of any experienced actor. Let's talk about his YouTube Channel @akahbants, where he started creating content in exactly November 2017. He sees his channel as a form of expressing his love for talking, he has a total of 47.9k subscribers on the "tubes" currently. As I mentioned earlier, Akah is a family man, he is married to Claire Idera an art enthusiast, a freelance fashion designer, and illustrator and they have a beautiful baby girl, Gabby. Did I forget to mention that Akah has a YouTube channel with his wife called Akahandclaire?
