IN & OUT: A CURE TO BODY DYSMOPHIA

Hey there, welcome to IN & OUT this blog was created as a safe space for both males and females to come and know that they are not alone and be able to share their experiences, to show that all bodies are PERFECT and all bodies deserve to be loved, to understand that no one can treat you less than you deserve to be treated, to learn to see and appreciate all parts of ourselves both the ones you deem beautiful and the ones you don’t and that even when you work on the not so beautiful parts it's not because of how anyone else feels about it but because you want to improve yourself.

Body dysmorphic disorder is a mental health condition that causes you to obsess over one or more perceived flaws or defects in your appearance.

In a society with unrealistic beauty standards, it is easy to get lost in a loop of unachievable “perfection”.

Real happiness comes from loving you’re inner self and expecting the things you can’t change. Flaws perfectly imperfect.
- Shellie Palmer

It is easy for us to go online and judge ourselves based on what we see and blame others for our insecurities and project our issues onto other people. We have all been made uniquely. There can never be two of the same person, each one is authentic.

It is not what you are that hold you back it is what you think you are not.
- Yung Pueblo

There is no medical treatment for body dysmorphia, the only way one can cure body dysmorphia is to accept and admire oneself completely and promote our physical, psychological and spiritual development which is SELF LOVE.

It is your duty and responsibility to yourself to love accept yourself unconditionally and treat your body right and yes, it wont come easy, it is a journey, a continuous process that you will develop as you continue in your life. There is no one who just woke and automatically began to feel confident and comfortable in their skin, even the influencers and celebrities that we look up to also have their journey and have experiences that have shaped them into who they are today. Everyone has a story and it is these stories that shape us into the beautiful creatures we become.

You have been criticizing yourself for years, and it hasn’t worked. Try approving of yourself and see what happens
- Louise L. Hay

It all starts with one step, don’t think about how to start just do it. It can be picking up something new, going on an adventure, chasing that dream but just nourish your soul and mind with something that brings you joy and care enough about it to make a space for it in your life. Fall in love with yourself ,fall in love with your energy, protect your energy, enjoy your space, protect your space, take care of yourself and fall in love with taking care of yourself.

It is not selfish to love yourself, take care of yourself, and to make your happiness a priority. It’s necessary.
-Mandy Hale

Remember the aim is to know your worth and enjoy being in your own skin, this is the skin your going to be in all your life so why not just love it because it is only when you love yourself that someone else will be able to love you and treat you the way you are meant to be treated.
