It’s all about hair (part 1)

Updated: Feb 4, 2022

Holla lovelies, welcome back to my blog. Today we are going to be focusing on how to style your hair and pretty accessories for your hair. We are going to focus on natural afro hair, straight hair, curly hair and braids. Before I move on to the main content, your hair is beautiful, from the luscious straight, to the beautiful curly, to the gorgeous wavy, to the incredible 4c and last but not least, the stylish locs.

Let’s get into the main content chicas.

1) Straight hair

People with this hair, have zero to none curls. But that is what makes this hair incredible. When this type of hair is taken care of, and I mean prober conditioning and all that, the hair looks amazing.

How to take care of this type of hair

You know, I am not exactly a hair expert, but this is what I know. Chicas with straight hair usually have oily scalp, which is what spreads down to the body f the hair, and gives the hair that pretty shine. So basically, what you should doo to take care of this type of hair is to keep the oil content of the hair down to a minimum, so that your hair does not have too much oil. So, what I would suggest is to get hair products that would keep the shine on your hair, but not too much so your hair doesn’t burn when you are in the sun.

2) Wavy hair

The number 1 question that gets to mind when people hear wavy hair is, ‘is that not curly hair?’, well no it is not. Wavy hair is not as defined as curly. Think of wavy hair as S shaped hair. Chicas in this hair category, are in the middle, that means they’re hair is not so oily and yet it is not so dry.

The most difficult aspect of managing wavy hair is dealing with frizz.

Wavy hair can look unkempt if it isn't correctly styled. You'll need special hair care designed for Wavy hair to keep your waves looking their best.

To avoid frizz, avoid towel-drying your hair. While it's natural to jump out of the shower and towel dry your freshly washed tresses, doing so damages wavy hair and causes extra frizz. Before you exit the shower, wring out your hair instead of reaching for the towel. Then let it air dry or use a diffuser attachment on your blow dryer if you're in a rush. If you can't live without a towel, go for a bamboo or microfiber hair towel instead of a harsh cotton one.
